Rose Cottage and Spring Bank, Spring Bank, Great Longstone, an early 19th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 27 SW PARISH OF GREAT LONGSTONE MAIN STREET 4/21 (South Side) Rose Cottage and Spring Bank GV II Two cottages, formerly three. Early C19. Rubble limestone with gritstone dressings and quoins. Welsh slate roof with two rendered ridge stacks and a brick gable end stack. Stone coped gables with moulded kneelers. Two storeys. North elevation of three bays. Blocked doorway on the left with moulded hoodmould. To the right, a window with square section stone surround and C20 top hung casement. To the right, a similar doorway with plank door and similar window. To the right again, a similar doorway and window with glazing bar sash. Three windows above in square section stone surrounds with C20 top hung casements, except the right hand one, which has a glazing bar sash. Listing NGR: SK2007271721.' (1)
