Full Description

Manor House, Main Road, Brailsford, a late 18th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 24 SE PARISH OF BRAILSFORD DERBY ROAD 6/25 (North Side) 13.9.67 Oaklands GV II House. Late C18. Red brick with ashlar dressings. Plain tile hipped roof. Stacks to rear. Moulded ashlar cornice and parapet above. Two storeys. South elevation of three broad bays, plus a lower bay set back to east. Central doorway with moulded ashlar doorcase with open pediment. Panelled door and traceried fanlight. Flanked on each side by glazing bar sashes under wedge lintels with double keystones. Three similar, but smaller windows above with continuous sills forming a stone band. Lower C19 bay to right with a glazing bar sash under a wedge lintel to each floor. Listing NGR: SK2580541208.'
