Full Description
The remains of a circular pinfold in a field south of the road from Pindale. (1)
Ordnance Survey maps suggest that this feature was a well rather than a pinfold. The 1st ed. 25" OS map of c. 1880 shows a short track leading to a point marked 'W'. The 2nd edition of 1898 shows the circular enclosure which is annotated 'Well'. (3, 4)
