Dale Bridge, Matlock Road, South Wingfield, built c1840. From the National heritage List for England: 'SK 35 NE PARISH OF SOUTH WINGFIELD MATLOCK ROAD 2 /119 Dale Bridge GV II Road bridge. c1840 for the North Midland Railway Company. Massive ashlar and rock- faced gritstone. Double arch bridge with shallow segmental arches, framed by rusticated voussoirs. Above, a boldly projecting continuous roll moulding with a massive rock-faced masonry parapet surmounted by a deep projecting coping with chamfered edges. Splayed ends to the parapet walls, terminating in low circular piers. Listing NGR: SK3864856393.' (1)
