Full Description

Coach House, Manor Road, South Wingfield, a late 18th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 3755 PARISH OF SOUTH WINGFIELD MANOR ROAD 5/114 (West Side) Stables and Coach House to Wingfield House GV II Former stables and coach house, now workshop. Late C18. Regularly coursed squared coal measures sandstone, intermediate ridge brick stacks, hipped roof with welsh slated roof. Two storeys, three bays, that to the east end with a stilted segmental carriage archway with quoins, rusticated voussoirs with keyblock and planked double doors. Four windows with plain surrounds, with glazing bar horizontal sashes, except to first floor west end. Two doors with quoined surrounds, massive lintels and planked doors. East gable has a 2-light flush mullioned window to upper floor. Listing NGR: SK3756755467.' (1)
