Elliotholme Lodge, off Coombs Road, Bakewell, built c1865. From the National Heritage List for England: 'BAKEWELL SK26NW COOMBS ROAD 831-1/2/84 (South West side) 20/05/74 Elliottholme Lodge II Lodge. c1865. For the Duke of Rutland's Estate. Limestone in diminishing courses and coursed sandstone; ashlar sandstone dressings; stone slate roof. L-shaped with entrance in gabled side wing on left. EXTERIOR: single storey and attic. Large quoins; chamfered mullioned windows with leaded lights and hoodmoulds; shaped kneelers and ashlar gable copings. Entrance into side-wing set back on left has vertically-panelled door in triangular-headed surround with hoodmould. Front gable to right with 3-light ground-floor and 2-light first-floor window; external stack, in angle with wing to right, has quoins offsets and twin flues of dressed sandstone linked by a cornice; single-light window to right. Right return: gable with windows as front; rear wing with stone porch and 2-light windows. INTERIOR: not inspected. Listing NGR: SK2299567392.' (1)
