Full Description

Former site of Nos. 76-79 Derby Road, Swanwick, a late 18th century building. Previously Grade II Listed: 'Terrace of cottages. Late C18 with later alterations. Red brick with brick and stone dressings and corrugated asbestos sheet roofs, on two different pitches. Two storeys, each cottage single bay except No 79 which has two bays. Each cottage has a plank door and 2-light casement windows to ground and first floors, ground floor openings below flat brick arches with stone keyblocks, the exception to this is No 76 to right which has a 3-light side sliding sash to right of the blocked doorcase to ground floor and similar 2-light window above. Beyond to left is a later addition with plank door and a flat headed 2-light window with blocked window over. Nos 79, 78 and 77, to left, have their doors to the righthand side. Nos 79 and 78 have steeper pitched, higher roofs than the rest of the terrace. Listing NGR: SK4036453489.'
