Full Description

Pottery, glass and bone, Liffs Road, Hartington Nether Quarter, an 18th to 19th century assemblage. An assemblage of predominantly 18th century material, comprised of pottery, glass, ceramic building material and bone was recovered from unstratified topsoil during a watching brief carried out in 2020. Seven sherds of pottery dated to between c1720-c1840, including tablewares and utilitarian wares. One fragment of ceramic building material (a brick) was recovered. One animal bone fragment was from a small corvid. One piece of pale green bottle glass was also recovered. (1)
