Engine house, saw mill and chimney at Hardwick Hall, Ault Hucknall, built in 1860.

10/13 Engine House, Saw Mill & Attached Chimney at Hardwick Saw mill GV II
Engine house, saw mill and chimney. 1860, possibly by S. Rollinson. Coursed squared sandstone with sandstone dressings. Stone slate roof with stone coped gables. Two storeys, rectangular plan. Gabled west elevation of two bays. Round-arched entrance with plain ashlar surround and pair of plank doors. To the left is a single doorway with shallowly arched lintel. Two 2-light chamfered mullion windows above, with diamond glazing. Single slit window in the gable. The south elevation has three 2- light recessed and chamfered mullion windows. Attached to the east is a tall circular stone chimney, with moulded band and cornice at the top.
