School House, Chesterfield Road, Ault Hucknall, built in 1858. From Google Streetview imagery dating to 2023 the building looks abondoned. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 46 SW PARISH OF AULT HUCKNALL CHESTERFIELD ROAD,HARDSTOFT 9/1 (East Side) Former Sunday School II Sunday School. 1858. Red brick and sandstone ashlar. Welsh slate roof with stone coped gables. Roof of two different heights like the nave and chancel of a small chapel. Tall gabled bellcote on the north gable. West elevation of three bays has a steeply gabled porch with four-centred arched doorway and quatrefoil datestone above inscribed 1858. Flanked on each side by stone cross windows,not placed symmetrically. To the right again is a further cross window. The south gable end has a 3-light stone mullioned and transomed window and a blind triangular headed window above. Similar fenestration to north. Listing NGR: SK4366063251.' (1)
