Full Description

Joiners shop, north of saw mill, Hardwick Park, Ault Hucknall, a mid-19th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 46 SE PARISH OF AULT HUCKNALL HARDWICK PARK 10/15 Joiner's Shop to North of Saw Mill GV II Joiner's shop, now offices and stores. Mid C19. Coursed squared sandstone with sandstone dressings. Welsh slate and machine tile roofs, Single ridge stack, and a truncated gable stack. Single storey L-range. West elevation has a symmetrical two- bay front. Central doorway with chamfered ashlar surround and panelled door. Flanked by 3-light recessed and chamfered mullion windows. South elevation of six irregular bays. Projecting gabled bay to the left has a 3-light recessed and chamfered mullion window with segmental relieving arch and diamond glazing. In the angle to the right are a pair of plank doors. To the right again are two 3-light mullion windows and three former cart entrances divided by square piers. They are now blocked by C20 glazed and timber partitions. Listing NGR: SK4623163414.' (1)
