PARISH OF BLACKWELL CRAGG LANE Top Farmhouse
(Formerly listed as Tap Farmhouse, TOWN LANE (east side))
GV II Farmhouse. Late C18 with mid C19 addition and alterations. Rendered rubble and brick. Slate roofs with brick side wall and ridge stacks, central ridge stack to mid C19 addition with chamfered sides. Dentilled eaves bands.
Two storeys and L-plan, with two bay front elevation with lower earlier rear wing to left with three first floor windows. Main elevation has two twenty pane sashes below segment heads to ground floor and two similar sashes, below the eaves, above. Rear elevation has off centre gabled porch with oversailing eaves and half glazed door. To left a three-light casement window and to right a similar two-light window with plank door beyond. Above three irregularly placed two-light casement windows, two to right in moulded timber architraves.
