No. 49 High Street, Old Bolsover, a 17th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 4771 TOWN OF OLD BOLSOVER HIGH STREET 16/66 (South Side) 5.7.65 No 49 II House. C17, C18, extensively remodelled early C19. Coursed squared limestone with sandstone dressings and quoins. Machine tile roof. Stone gable stacks and stone coped gables. Moulded eaves cornice. Two storeys. Broad 3-bay north elevation. Central doorway with bead moulded ashlar surround and moulded hoodmould. Panelled door. Flanked by glazing bar sashes under wedge lintels. Three similar windows above. The interior has an C18 open string staircase with two balusters per tread, alternately turned and twisted. Fluted newel and ramped handrail. Listing NGR: SK4731170351.'
