War Memorial, Chesterfield Road, Pleasley, built c1918. From the National Heritage List for England: 'This list entry was subject to a Minor Amendment on 28 October 2022 to correct a typo in the description and to reformat the text to current standards SK 56 SW 11/136 PARISH OF PLEASLEY CHESTERFIELD ROAD (West Side) War Memorial II War memorial. c1918. Ashlar cenotaph in regular coursed blocks. Rectangular in plan. Stepped plinth, moulded base, and plain rectangular block above, stepped in at the top. Inscribed on one of the long sides 'ERECTED TO THE MEMORY OF THE GALLANT MEN OF PLEASLEY AND PLEASLEY HILL WHO FOUGHT IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918' and with an added inscription to those who died in the Second World War.
