Steetley farmhouse, Streetley Lane, Whitwell, an 18th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 57 NW PARISH OF WHITWELL STEETLEY LANE, STEETLEY 2/175 (West Side) 30.3.82 Steetley Farmhouse GV II Farmhouse and attached outbuilding. C18 and C19. Coursed squared sandstone with sandstone dressings. Stone slate and pantile roofs. Two brick ridge stacks. Stone coped gables with plain kneelers. Two storeys. East elevation of house of four bays. Doorway on the left with plain stone surround and plank door. Two-light casement window to the right under flat arch. To the right again a doorway with pair of C20 glazed doors, and two 2-light casement windows. Four similar windows above. Range of outbuildings attached to the left. Lower range has a doorway with plank door and two 2-light casements above. To the left is an external flight of stone steps up to a doorway with plank door. Four more irregular openings to the left and two above. Listing NGR: SK5442678811.' (1)
