Full Description

SK 1738 8256: Doctor's Gate, ?Barrow: Possible barrow alongside Doctor's Gate Roman road. (1,2). The original source gives no detail and is probably unreliable. This heavily overgrow area has no observable trace of a barrow. All breaks of slope are natural and it seems an unlikely barrow site, being a disused yard adjacent to derelict farm buildings - any observed mound is likely to be associated with these. (3)
