No. 7 Main Road, The Haven, Shirland and Higham, a late 18th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'PARISH OF SHIRLAND & HIGHAM MAIN ROAD 38/39 58 38/39 59 6/46 (West Side) The Haven, Higham (formerly 31-1-67 listed as Ogston Estate Office) GV II Pair of cottages, now one house, Late C18 with later addition. Coursed squared sandstone, Tooled gritstone dressings. Quoins, C20 concrete tile roof. Rendered gable end stacks. Two storeys, three bays, plus single storey addition to south. Steps up to two central flush doorcases. Steps with re-used consoles to sides. Both doorcases with large double keystones and C20 panelled doors. To either side of doors, 2-light flush mullion windows. Above, two similar. Placed centrally above doors a blocked semi-circular headed window with fluted keystone. To south, single storey addition has door and C20 2-light mullion window. All fenestration C20 leaded casements. Listing NGR: SK3901059147.' (1)
