The Greenhouse, former outbuilding of Hathersage Hall, Hathersage, a mid-19th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 23 81 PARISH OF HATHERSAGE MAIN ROAD (off) 6/43 12.7.67 Outbuilding north west of outbuilding to the west south west of Hathersage Hall (formerly listed as outbuildings at the Hall) GV II Farm outbuildings. c1840. Regularly coursed gritstone with quoins, coped gables, off-centre intermediate stone stack and Welsh slates. Two storeys, five bays, with two door openings with stone frames and a semi-circular overlight springing from door lintel, now partially blocked, at south west end. Wider quoined doorway with massive lintel to north east end, together with former 2-light chamfer mullioned window, now with mullion missing. Plain planked door to doorway. First floor has four single light openings with chamfered stone frames and an inserted concrete lintel above new central opening. Attached at north east end, a low, two storey outbuilding, possibly a piggery with a henhouse above, with a monopitch slate roof and a stone stairway to a first floor opening. Further to the north east, a two storey range with a coped gable at north west end, and a 3-light chamfer mullioned window to the first floor of the gable wall. Single storey lean-to building against north west wall has mullioned windows, flanking stone framed doorway on north west side. Listed for group value only. Listing NGR: SK2329181647.' (1)
