Full Description

Southeast building, Cromford railway station, Cromford, built c1860. From the National Heritage List for England: '1. LEA ROAD 1390 CROMFORD Cromford Station (building on east platform) SK 35 NW 7/62 15.6.71. II GV 2. Circa 1860, inscribed to G H Stakes. Ashlar; single-storeyed; 4 windows; steep slate hipped bellcast roof with modillion eaves cornice in French Chateau style; pointed hipped turret with small gable over circular panel above round arched doorway at centre of front. No longer in use. Cromford Station main building, footbridge, building on east platform and Station Master's House form a group. Listing NGR: SK3029957385.' (1)
