Pratthall Farm farmhouse, B6050, Brampton, built in 1700. From the National Heritage List for England: 'BRAMPTON SK37SW PRATTHALL 1264-0/2/114 Pratthall Farmhouse 31/01/67 (Formerly Listed as: CUTTHORPE Pratt Hall Farm) GV II House. Dated 1700, with C20 alterations and additions. Coursed rubble Coal Measures Sandstone, with ashlar dressings, quoins, brick ridge stacks, and a concrete tiled roof. Irregular T-plan house, the main range stepped, and a lower rear wing attached to the adjacent Pratt Hall (qv) South-west elevation of 2 storeys and 3 bays, the central bay of the gabled lower range with a central quoined doorway with massive lintel inscribed 'J B M 1700'. C20 half-glazed door with glazing bars. Set-back bay to south-east with stacked 2-light flush mullioned windows, with side-hung casements. South-east elevation of main range with C18 single-light stair windows. To the north-west set-back bay a C20 window below a 2-light C18 mullioned window. North-east elevation with single-storey C20 extension at right angles to main range. INTERIOR: exposed ceiling beams. Listed for Group Value. Listing NGR: SK3275573154.' (1)
