Birley Grange Cottage Farm, Birley Road, Brampton, a late 18th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'BRAMPTON SK37SW Birley Grange Cottage Farm 1264-0/2/85 31/01/67 (Formerly Listed as: CUTTHORPE Cottage at Birley Grange Farm to S.) II House. Late C18 with C20 alterations. Sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings, stone slate roof, and ashlar gable chimneys. Main part of house 2 storeys and 2 bays with casement windows of 2 lights separated by flat-faced mullions. The door, between bays, has a stone surround. Projecting forwards at the right is one bay with altered openings. On the ground floor it has a window set within a door surround, and above is a 2-light window. At the right external stone steps lead to a 1st floor doorway with plain reveals, and farther to the right is a single-storey one-bay addition. Listing NGR: SK3147873136.' (1)
