Lilac Cottage, Earl Sterndale, Hartington Middle Quarter, an early 19th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 06 NE PARISH OF HARTINGTON MIDDLE QUARTER EARL STERNDALE 4/75 (East Side) Lilac Cottage GV II Cottage. Early C19. Coursed limestone rubble, painted stone dressings. Stone slate roof. Stone gable end stacks. Two storeys, two bays. Quoined doorcase with bracketed flat stone hood over. C20 studded wooden door. To either side, glazing bar sashes in plain stone surrounds. Two similar windows above. Included for group value only. Listing NGR: SK0909466971.' (1)
