Full Description

Now open as a show cave, comprising a fine series of natural caverns discovered during lead mine operation in 1806. Little mining remains to be seen but the entrance passage is an impressive worked out vein. (1). Marked on the first edition Ordnance Survey map as 'Bagshawe Cavern', suggesting it may have been a show cave from prior to 1880. (2).
