Full Description

Former stable block, Butts Road, Little Longstone, a mid-19th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 17 SE PARISH OF LITTLE LONGSTONE MAIN STREET 3/34 (North Side) Stable Block to West of Manor House GV II Stable block, now farm buildings. Mid C19. Rubble limestone with gritstone dressings. Welsh slate roofs, stone coped gables with moulded kneelers and square finials. Two stone gable end stacks to north. Two storeys. South elevation in three parts. Central projecting section with coped and castellated parapet hiding the meno-pitched roof. Gabled bays set back on each side with a single upper opening with segmental head. Irregular doors and fenestration to ground floor now hidden by a 1950s lean-to covered yard of no architectural interest. Listed for group value only. Listing NGR: SK1907571794.' (1)
