Full Description

Former cart shed and stable, Market Street, Draycott and Church Wilne, a mid-19th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'DRAYCOTT & CHURCH WILNE MARKET STREET SK 43 SW (west side) 1194- /3/10008 Cartshed and stable at Draycott Mills GV II Cartshed and stable, now garage and store. c1840-50. Brick with ashlar dressings and slate and corrugated asbestos roofs with coped gables. Single storey, 3 bays. Front building has facing gable with dentillated eaves and mid-C20 garage doors. Left return has 2 small blocked windows. Centre bay has elliptical arched cart opening with renewed doors. Lower rear building has blocked windows and doors. This building is part of an integrated site for the manufacture of cotton and lace. Included for group value. Listing NGR: SK4425533232.' (1)
