Draycott House, Nottingham Road, Draycott and Church Wilne, a late 18th century building.
From the National Heritage List for England:
'PARISH OF DRAYCOTT AND CHURCH WILNE NOTTINGHAM ROAD SK 43 SW 3/10 (South Side) Draycott House 10.11.67 II House. Late C18 with minor C20 alterations and additions. Possibly designed by Joseph Pickford of Derby. Red brick with stone dressings and a deep stone plinth with sill band to top. Hipped graduated slate roof with brick ridge stacks and bracketed eaves cornice with blocking course over. Three storeys and three bays with advanced, pedimented central bays to west and south elevations. South elevation has a four columned, mid C19 Doric porch with blocking course, over moulded cornice, covering a mid C19 doorcase with central glazed double doors flanked by narrow side lights, also with traceried fanlight. To either side there are full height glazing bar sashes under rusticated lintels with double keystones, the original openings have been lengthened. Above two glazing bar sashes below similar lintels to either side of a central Venetian window, also with glazing bar sashes. Above again two more smaller glazing bar sashes to sides, similar to those below and a central Diocletian window with glazing bar sashes. Attached to east side is a single storey C20 addition. West elevation has a two storey blind arch to centre bay with raised stone impost bands and a rusticated semi-circular head. Within the arch to the ground floor is a glazing bar sash in a moulded shouldered surround, set on moulded brackets, with pulvinated frieze and triangular pediment over. To either side there are glazing bar sashes under rusticated lintels with double keystones. Similar inserted window beyond to north. Above two similar windows and an inserted glazing bar sash within the blind arch. Above again, two similar, smaller windows to either side and a central sash in moulded shouldered surround on brackets. Interior has the original C18 staircase with knopped balusters and wreathed handrail.
