Pair of houses and attached front garden walls. Early C19. Coursed, tooled sandstone with ashlar dressings; concrete tile roof. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys, 2-window range. Asymmetrical pair with left house (No. 26) entered at first floor via steps. Broad ashlar door surrounds and raised window surrounds with projecting sills. No. 25 on right: part-glazed door to right of 8/8 sash on ground and first floors; 4/8 sash to second floor. No. 26 on left: rear passage opening offset to right beneath C20 casements to each upper floor. Part-glazed 4-panelled door at head of steps on left. Broad ashlar ridge stack at centre of the pair. INTERIOR: Not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: front wall: No. 25 has low wall with flat copings and round-headed piers. Wall in front of No. 26 ramps up to retain front steps then returns to adjoin house. Garden walls included for group value..'
