Wall on west side of Bath Gardens, Bakewell, of late 18th or early 19th century date. From the National Heritage List for England: 'BAKEWELL SK2168 RUTLAND SQUARE 831-1/4/157 (North West side) 20/05/74 Wall on west side of Bath Gardens linking Rutland Buildings to Haig House (Formerly Listed as: RUTLAND SQUARE (North West side) Bath Garden Wall at Western Side) GV II Includes: Wall on west side of Bath Gardens linking Rutland Buildings to Haig House BATH GARDENS. Includes: Wall on west side of Bath Gardens linking Rutland Buildings to Haig House BATH STREET. Wall. Late C18-early C19. Coursed sandstone. Approximately 3m in height with quoins, offset above ashlar band and plain ashlar copings. Straight section of wall adjoins north-east corner of Rutland Buildings (qv) and has pedestrian gateway with chamfered surround. Wall then curves in quadrant to link with Haig House, Bath Street (qv). Listing NGR: SK2174068571.' (1)
