Full Description

Saxby, Buxton Road, Bakewell, an early 19th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'BAKEWELL SK2168 BUXTON ROAD 831-1/4/68 (North East side) 20/05/74 Saxby GV II House now offices. Early C19. Coursed limestone facade with ashlar dressings; stone slate roof. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys, 2-window range. Gabled front. Large quoins. Each floor has projecting sills and painted ashlar surrounds to two 2/2 sashes. Eaves band carried across gable which has quoined upstands, ashlar gable copings and ashlar end stack with band. Right return: 6-panel door. INTERIOR: not inspected. Listing NGR: SK2171368561.' (1)
