War memorial, southwest of cemetery chapels, Park Crescent, Ilkeston, built c1920. From The National Heritage List for England: 'PARISH OF ILKESTON PARK CRESCENT SK 44 SE 3/53 (North Side) War Memorial south west of Cemetery Chapels GV II War memorial. c1920, a standard design for the Royal War Graves Commission by Edward Maufe. Ashlar. Octagonal plinth and base with overhanging chamfered coping. Surmounted by a smaller octagonal base with inscriptions around the sides and surmounted again by cross with octagonal shaft and cross piece. Smaller wrought iron cross attached on one side. Curved wall behind with chamfered coping, inscribed with the names of those who died. Listed for group value only.
