Full Description

Barn to west of Eyam Hall, Church Street, Eyam, a late 17th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 21 76 PARISH OF EYAM CHURCH STREET 6/37 (North Side) Barn to W of Eyam Hall 12-7-67 (formerly listed as 'Outbuilding to W of The Hall') II Barn incorporating byre and hayloft. Late C17 with C19 and C20 alterations. Limestone and gritstone rubble, gritstone dressings and quoins. Stone slate roof with stone gable end stack to east and moulded stone copings and kneelers to gables. Two storeys, four bays. Quoined doorcase with timber lintel now filled by C19 window to west. Similar doorcase to east, with quoined window and timber lintel beyond. Large archway with timber lintel, then flight of steps up to first floor doorway with plank door. To extreme east, advanced single storey bay with double doors. Above, three hayloft openings, that to east blocked. Listing NGR: SK2161476499.' (1)
