Full Description

Merrill House, Townhead, Eyam, a 17th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 21 76 PARISH OF EYAM MAIN ROAD 6/58 (North Side) Merrill House GV II House. C17 with C19 alterations. Rendered stone. Gritstone dressings. Stone slate roof. Central stone ridge stack and stone gable end stack to east. Two storeys, two bays. Central chamfered quoined doorcase with C20 door and hoodmould which continues to east over 2-light recessed and chamfered mullion window with C19 sashes. To west, C20 3-light casement window. Above, two recessed and chamfered 2-light mullion windows with wide hoodmoulds over. Interior has C17 wall cupboard. Listing NGR: SK2144476734.' (1)
