Full Description

Eyam House, Eyam Road, Eyam, an early 19th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 27 NW PARISH OF EYAM EYAM ROAD 4/44 (South Side) Eyam House GV II House. Early C19 with later C19 additions. Tooled, coursed, squared gritstone with ashlar dressings. Hipped Westmorland slate roofs with lead flashings. Stone ridge and side wall stacks. Main elevation has corner pilasters, plain band between storeys and moulded cornice. Three bays with recessed later two bay addition. Two storeys, plus attics to later addition. Advanced central bay with steps up to plain pilastered doorcase with shallow pediment over with plain acroteria, below double glazed doors. To north, full height glazing bar sash. To south, plain sash in original opening. Beyond, to south, later rectangular bay window with plain sashes to all sides. Above, three glazing bar sashes. Later, C19 addition to rear and south with large 2-light mullion windows with plain sashes above and below. Listing NGR: SK2093176889.' (1)
