Full Description

Outbuildings at Eyam View, Eyam Road, Eyam, of early 19th century date. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 27 NW PARISH OF EYAM EYAM ROAD 4/46 (South Side) 12-7-67 Eyam View Farm Buildings (formerly listed as Outbuilding at Eyam View Farm') GV II Range of farm buildings round three sides of a square. Early C19 with various later alterations. Coursed limestone rubble with tooled gritstone dressings. Stone slate roofs, that to pigeonloft pyramidal. South range has flush doorcase to east with plank door. Similar doorcase to west, now with later C19 window. Between doorcases a partly blocked window with iron lamp over. Above casement window in flush surround. Western range has flush doorcase, now filled by later window to south. To north, line of four segmental headed quoined flush arches, that second to north, now with large C20 doors hung over, those to either side blind except for small shuttered openings. Northern arch leads through the building. Above, two sliding sashes in flush surrounds. To north, square pigeonloft tower with semi-circular headed opening with raised keystone, pigeon holes and shelves. Interior has 400 stone pigeonholes with stone shelves. Northern range, lower, with two flush doorcases to west. Large wooden extension with doors to east. Flush window to extreme east. Listing NGR: SK2088176918.' (1)
