North section of Harrington Bridge, Sawley, built c1790. From the National Heritage List for England: 'PARISH OF LONG EATON TAMWORTH ROAD SK 43 SE 4/43 SAWLEY North Section of Harrington Bridge at SK 472 313 GV II Part of road bridge. 1790 with C20 additions. Ashlar and brick. Six small segmental stone arches with semi-circular cutwaters between and to either end. Ashlar spandrels with plain band over and C20 brick parapets with stone copings. This is one part of the C18 bridge which survived the floods of 1904. Listing NGR: SK4715631239.' (1)
