Tulip Tree House, No. 16 Bakehouse Lane, Ockbrook, an early 19th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 4325, 1194-/6/10001 OCKBROOK, BAKEHOUSE LANE, No. 16, Tulip Tree House II House. Early C19 with late C19 and C20 alterations and additions. Red brick, laid to English garden wall bond, end ridge chimneys with plain caps, and Welsh slated roof, hipped at the north-west end, irregular L plan, of two storeys, three bays. The south-east bay with added bay window, C20, and of four lights with transom lights of six panes. Plain coved eaves cornice. Central doorway with shallow flat canopy, 4-pane rectangular overlight and 6-panel door within wooden plaster surround. To the north-west of the door, stacked glazing-bar sash windows, 8-over-8 paned beneath painted stone wedge lintels. Matching windows to remaining bays at first-floor level. Later catslide roof to north-west end, and C20 extensions and alterations to rear. Listing NGR: SK4220835847.' (1)
