Full Description

Ivy House, No. 32 Derby Road, Ockbrook, an 18th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'PARISH OF OCKBROOK DERBY ROAD, SK 43 SW 3/61 BORROWASH (North Side) Ivy House II House. C18, refronted in early C19. Red brick with painted stone dressings. Slate roof with brick gable stacks, mostly hidden behind low parapets with flat stone copings. Two storeys and four bays, that to east slightly recessed. Central semi-circular headed doorcase with raised and fielded panelled door below traceried fanlight. To either side there are glazing bar sashes below rusticated wedge lintels with raised keyblocks. Above three similar windows. Recessed eastern bay has a wide segmental brick arch with stone keyblock and double plank doors below. Above there is another glazing bar sash with a stone keyblock in segmental brick head.
