Nos. 29-31 The Settlement, Ocbrook, built c1820. From the National Heritage List for England: 'PARISH OF OCKBROOK THE SETTLEMENT SK 42 36 6/82 (South Side) Nos 29 and 31 GV II Two houses. c1820 and mid C19, with minor later alterations. Built as part of the Moravian Settlement. Both houses of red brick with painted stone dressings and both with slate roofs and dentilled eaves bands. No 29 to north has brick gable stacks and No 31 to south has a central brick ridge stack and a gable stack to south. Both houses of three storeys and three bays. No 29, the mid C19 house, has a central brick porch with semi-circular headed stone doorcase and moulded cornice with blocking course over, also panelled door and plain fanlight. To either side there are plain sashes below wedge lintels and above three similar windows. Three similar but smaller windows without lintels below the eaves above. To far south on the ground floor is the doorcase into No 31 which is covered by a large C20 glass porch. The doorcase has a rusticated wedge lintel with double keystone and below is a panelled door with divided overlight. No 31 is a c1820 house and has three windows to ground floor all under rusticated lintels with double keystones, the two to south with plain sashes and that to north with a glazing bar sash which is covered by the glazed porch. Above three plain sashes below similar lintels and above again three more smaller sashes with flat timber lintels, probably later insertions. Below the window to the south end of the building is a gauged brick segmental archway with stone keyblock which runs through the building. Included for group value only.
