Church Cottage, off Derby Road, Risley, originally a 17th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'PARISH OF RISLEY DERBY ROAD SK 46 NE 2/91 (North Side) Church Cottage GV II Cottage. C17, partly rebuilt 1882. Part stone rubble, part timber framed and part red brick. Late C19 plain tile roof with wide overhanging eaves and brick gable stack to west. Single storey plus garret and two bays. South elevation is of red brick and has a segment headed doorcase with plank door to east with a stone plaque over inscribed 'HARRISONS MEMORIAL 1882'. To the west is a fixed small pane, segment headed window set in an area of timber framing. Beyond to west is a larger, blocked segment headed window. East gable wall has stone rubble to base and a segment headed garret window above. Interior has heavily beamed ceiling, one inglenook fireplace and a winder staircase. Listing NGR: SK4610335722.'
