Western range of Walnut Farm farmbuildings, Main Street, Burnaston, built in 1840.
From the National Heritage List for England:
'SK 23 SE PARISH OF BURNASTON MAIN STREET 4/5 (South Side) Western range of farmbuildings 15.9.75 at Walnut Farm GV II
Farmbuilding consisting of stables with loft above and attached cowbyres. 1840 with minor later alterations. Red brick with brick dressings and plain tile roofs with plain eaves band to hayloft. Two storey, three bay stables and hayloft to south, single storey three bay cow byre to north. Stables have three segment headed casement windows with two basket-arched doorcases, with plank doors between. Above, three similar windows and to south gable wall, a flight of steps up to first floor door with the date '1840' inscribed in vitrified headers above in the gable. Attached to north, the cow byres have three semi-circular windows with two basket-arched doorcase between and to south an inserted large fixed window. Included for group value only.
