Full Description

SK 1685 9390: Howden Reservoir, Mesolithic flint : Mesolithic flint, including rod microliths, collected by A. Henderson over many years prior to 1974. Site on a raised shoulder of land S. of Linch Clough, exposed when the reservoir water level drops. (1) A yellow chert pyramid core, of Mesolithic type, was found at water level (SK 1684 9390) by D. Bramwell, 1969. (4)
