Kitchen gardens east of Foremark Hall, Chestnut Avenue, Foremark, of mid to late 18th century date. From the National Heritage List for England: 'PARISH OF FOREMARK SK 32 NW 3/120 Kitchen Gardens to the East of Foremark Hall II Kitchen Garden walls, vine houses, potting sheds, stables and garden house. Mid C18, late C18 with additions c1900. Red brick with ashlar dressings and plain tile roofs. Large rectangular kitchen garden with walls 4 metres high with ashlar coping. The north west section has lean-to vine houses built on the inner walls, and potting sheds on the outer walls with 5 plank doors, and 9, 2 light sliding sashes with glazing bars and segment heads. These sheds have slate roofs and 5 groups off stacks. To the south, at the centre of the west wall a gateway with 4 circular brick columns with ashlar bases supporting a now decayed thatched roof, with wooden gate and railings. Linked to the west a short wall with a round headed niche containing an ashlar water trough, and beyond an ogee headed Gothic archway, this forms the southern boundary to the plotting shed yard to the north a section of garden wall, and to the west the rear of a stable range. This range has a west front with alternating stable doors and windows all under a continuous wooden lintel or wall plate. To the southwest a small formal garden with railings and gate to the south, and a small garden house with verandah supported on rustic poles, and at the rear further out buildings.
