Broomhill , Woodhouse Lane, Foston and Scropton, built in the 18th century. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 13 SE PARISH OF FOSTON & SCROPTON WOODHOUSE LANE 2/26 (South Side) Broomhill II Farmhouse. Possibly early C18, remodelled in late C18. Red brick and plain tile roof with brick ridge stack and brick gable end stack. Brick dentil eaves cornice. Two storeys plus garrets. Three bay south elevation. Off-centre C20 gabled porch with open front. Half glazed door. To the left, segment headed 3-light casement window. Two similar windows to the right and three similar windows above. Single storey bay to left with a similar 2-light window. North elevation has to the ground floor a 3-light and a 2-light wooden casement window under segment heads, and a C20 window with concrete lintel. Three 2-light windows above under segment heads. Interior has a three room plan with broad corridor along the north side. Large chimney breast with inglenooks in two rooms. Triple purlin roof. Listing NGR: SK1834832687.' (1)
