No. 14 Market Place, Melbourne, built in the 18th century. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 38/3925 6/134 PARISH OF MELBOURNE MARKET PLACE (South Side) No 14 GV II House and cottage, now one house. Late C18 and early C19 with C20 alterations. Rendered brick with painted stone dressings and plain tile roof with brick gable stacks, plus moulded stone cornice to No 14 and dentilled brick eaves band to former cottage. No 14 has two storeys plus basement and two bays, former cottage, attached to west, is much lower and has two storeys and a single bay. Steps up to central pilastered doorcase with moulded cornice and C20 door, which is flanked by a C20 bow window to east and a glazing bar sash below rusticated wedge lintel with keystone to west. Above there are two similar sashes. Attached to west the former cottage has a C20 panelled door with large C20 small pane window to west, plus similar window above. Included for group value only.
