The Hurst, Main Street, Elton, an 18th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 26 SW PARISH OF ELTON EAST END 5/14 (South side) THE HURST II House formerly a pair of cottages. C18. Coursed squared gritstone, some massive, with plain gables,intermediate ridge stacks, welsh slated roof. Two storeys, two window front, with two light flush mullioned openings generally with C20 joinery. Central doorway with massive quoined surround now blocked to form window opening.
