Homlea Cottage and The Cottage, Main Street, Elton, an 18th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 26 SW PARISH OF ELTON EAST END 5/11 (South side) Homelea Cottage and 'The Cottage' GV II Pair of cottages, formerly one house. C18. Coursed rubble gritstone with coped gables, moulded kneelers at north end, single gable ridge stack, plain clay tiled roof. Two storeys, two bays, with two light flush mullioned windows and single glazing bar casements. Doorway to north end has chamfered quoins and lintel. C20 lean-to extension at north end. Listed for group value only. Listing NGR: SK2228560928.' (1)
