Pair of metal basket flower beds, Melbourne Hall Garden, Church Close, Melbourne, of mid-19th century date. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 38/3925 PARISH OF MELBOURNE CHURCH CLOSE 6/66 (East Side) Pair of Metal Basket Flower Beds in Melbourne Hall Garden GV II Pair of metal basket flower beds. Mid C19. Cast iron. Pair of raised square flower beds set in shallow open frame with crossing, hooped iron bars over simulating wicker flower baskets. Later additions to the early C18 gardens, designed by Royal Gardeners to Queen Anne, London and Wise, for Thomas Coke of Melbourne Hall, which is included in the Derbyshire Historic Gardens Register at Grade I.
