Overflow System For Melbourne Pond, Pool Road, Melbourne, built in the 19th century. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 38/3924 PARISH OF MELBOURNE POOL ROAD 6/156 Overflow System for Melbourne Pond II Weir with covered overflow head and an underground chamber with entrance from the east in Melbourne Hall gardens. C19. Stone. Eastern entrance has low rock faced stone facade with barrel vaulted tunnel behind and large chamber beyond. Overflow head is situated to the side of Melbourne Pond and has a hipped lapped stone roof and small doorway to east side. Overflow system for draining Melbourne Pond. Listing NGR: SK3912724696.'
