Full Description
SK 224186, Air photograph shows cropmarks of a pit alignment with a possible bend in it, running towards the River Trent. (1, 2) Nothing visible on OS air photographs of 1967. (2)
A pot and flint scatter (flint density 2.2 per ha) was identified in this field during fieldwalking carried out as part of an MSC-funded programme, the South Derbyshire Archaeological Survey (SDAS) between 1986 and 1988. Flint material included five flakes and an amount of flint waste. (4, 5)
