Cottage southeast of Dale Farmhouse, Weaddow Lane, Middleton and Smerrill, an 18th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 16 SE PARISH OF MIDDLETON AND SMERRILL 4/30 Cottage to the south east GV of Dale Farmhouse II Cottage. C18, formerly a single bay dwelling combined with stable with overloft. Rubble limestone, with gritstone dressings, ridge stack to south gable and stone slate roof. Two storeys, two bays, with 2-light flush mullioned windows to ground floor and stone framed single-light openings above. Central doorway with massive surround and plank door. North gable has openings to ground and first floors and C19 extension to rear. North bay, formerly a cowhouse, now converted to part of dwelling. Listing NGR: SK1955463254.' (1)
